DIRECTOR

Leon serves as Director and Principal Consultant at Xaeus Blue. 

Leon is a global technology leader and digital innovator who focuses on expert strategy, delivery, advisory and interim technology/digital executive capability with unique multi-faceted experience working in leading global enterprises, scale-ups, startups and consultancies.

Leon has deep expertise in digital business strategy, disruptive digital business transformation, delivering new multi-channel digital platforms for rapid innovation, creating innovative intelligent digital services and products, supporting M&A investment strategy, M&A transactions and post-deal portfolio value enhancement.

Leon brings further expertise through his deep knowledge of disruptive digital technologies, consumer, enterprise and technology trends, user-centric design and development techniques, innovation management, mentoring and coaching. He has created, led and managed large inspired world-class teams and has experience in organisational design, culture transformation and buiding effective collaborative working practices across teams, organisational units and external entities.

Leon has worked across a wide range of sectors including Financial Services, Retail, Media, Leisure, Travel, Hospitality, Advanced Technology, Telecoms/mobile, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Wellness, Higher Education, Business Services, Construction, Engineering, Engineering Services, Utilities, Professional Services and Private Equity/Venture Capital across B2C, B2B including Wholesale and Franchise models. He is well supported in his work by his broad, well-nurtured multi-sector and multi-function network of trusted individuals that extends through to the top C-level and board of leading organisations across the globe.

Prior to Xaeus Blue, Leon was  Group CTO and CIO at The Travel Corporation, Senior Director of Technology in International Markets at Travelport/Cendant and CTO at SaaS pioneer BuildOnline where the spinoff Koral was acquired by Salesforce.  Prior to that Leon founded two pioneering technology start ups.   

Leon is a graduate of the University of Melbourne where he received a degree in Electronics Engineering (thesis on “Intelligent Systems for Medical Diagnosis and Care”). He also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Knowledge Based Systems from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Victoria specialising in artificial intelligence, neural networks, natural language processing and data science technologies.
